New Posting to Literary Corner!

As discussed several times, brother Phil has promised to submit an article to Literary Corner. I know we all gave up hope, but today he has been true to his word and submitted a very well written, from the heart, article about writing. Please treat yourself to a wonderful experience by going to the “Literary Corner” page of this website and check out Phil’s work. Simply click on http://www.kevin-j-ward.com and click on Literary Corner from the page titles across the top.

Review of Eclectic Encouragement

by Keevan Kosidowski

Thanks for featuring Teresa Alley’s book, Kevin, and for sharing a copy with me. I read it through and I’m going to re-read it as a daily devotional. I found the content to be engaging and also relatable. I could see parts of my own story in Teresa’s story. I think others will find this encouraging as she breaks down walls of isolation by sharing her own journey. We feel heartened and relieved when we know we are not alone in our struggles. Each chapter is short but the content is deep and encourages self-reflection. I really enjoyed her poetry as well and would like to read more. Thank you, Teresa, for your courage in writing this book and thank you Kevin for sharing.

New Update to Literary Corner

I have received great feedback from a number of people on the articles in Literary Corner. Good job to all who have submitted one so far! In addition to the typical article, I will periodically include something from what I call the “The Philosophical Files of Kevin J. Ward”. I hope you find these interesting, but they certainly do not replace your wonderful articles about your perspective on literature, which is, of course, the theme of Literary Corner. Since we are all still waiting for brother Phil to submit his article, I have decided to use one of my “Files” for this month’s edition. Please go to kevin-j-ward.com/LiteraryCorner for this new selection.

Featured Authors!

People who truly love literature enjoy all forms of writing and expression of thought. As such, I cannot have a website dedicated to writing (and thinking) without sharing the work of other authors. Therefore, I am introducing FEATURED AUTHORS, a new page to introduce new authors and new ideas. I am so privileged to introduce a wonderful author with a beautiful book about the value of encouragement. Please go to the new Featured Authors page and discover Eclectic Encouragement by Teresa Alley

We’re Back!

It’s been awhile since my last post. As we all know, these are crazy times. Aside from things like COVID, riots and elections, there have been some personal changes as well. Julie and I have both retired and living the life of leisure (kind of). This allows me to focus my energy on my writing and also on keeping the website current.

If you recall, we were waiting for an article from brother Phil for Literary Corner, but it never materialized. However, that’s how I would like to get back on track; getting Phil’s article posted. So Phil, how about an article?

Call for Articles!

In the next week or so a new article will be posted for Literary Corner by none other than my brother Phil. Whether that makes you excited to stick with my website or want to leave it for good is debatable, but in any case there will be something here shortly for your reading pleasure.

In addition to my articles posted every 6 weeks, I thought it would be good to have some personal insights from people on all the craziness going on today. Going back just a few weeks, who would have believed how much has happened? It’s tragic, and even horrifying, but there are bright spots as well when we see how so many people are going out of their way to bring some level of joy to the community. I am soliciting articles from any of you (or even anybody that you know who may not be following), that provides your own unique insights to this tumultuous time. Whether upbeat or critical, fearful or inspirational, I think it would be good for people to hear about how individuals like us are being affected. If anyone would like to submit an article, please let me know. And feel free to pass this request along to anyone you think may want to submit something. Thanks everyone!
