Saturday’s book signing at Otter Lane Book Shop was very successful and a lot of fun. Thanks so much to Niecy Olson for hosting me, and thanks to all of you who came through and discussed my book with me, even if you didn’t buy one. I love being part of this community!

For anyone who has read, or will read, The Longest Walk or The Seduction of Paradise, please feel free to share your thoughts about the books on my website at http://www.kevin-j-ward.com . I appreciate any honest and constructive feedback, whether positive or negative.

Next book signing for The Longest Walk will be at Otter Lane Book Shop on Main St. Anoka during the annual Galentines Day event on Saturday, February 8. My friend Niecy Olson, owner of Otter Lane, has the book for sale for $12.00. Since this is a romance story, it is the perfect gift for Galentines Day (even a gift for yourself!). I will be in the store for the first hour to sign books, and then again from 12:00 – 3:00, but you can buy them all day long. Niecy has even decided to give a little surprise to the first few books sold! I will also have copies of The Seduction of Paradise available if anyone happens to be interested. It was nice to see that people are still interested in The Seduction of Paradise. A number of those books were purchased as well. Also both of my books are now available at Otter Lane on Main Street in Anoka.

The Longest Walk is now officially released. It can be purchased on this website or the website of any mainstream book store, like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. It can also be purchased on my publisher’s website, which is booklocker.com. In searching for the book, it is sometimes helpful to have the ISBN, which is 978-1647181024.

An exciting event will be the first book signing at Ambi Wine Bar in downtown Anoka on January 18 from 3:00 – 5:00. This is a great setting for this wonderful romance book. Paperbacks will be selling for only $12.00. I hope to see many of you there.

As anyone who knows the Ward family is aware, the best writer in our family is clearly my oldest brother Tadhg (who I still call Tim). He has been generous enough to write a wonderful article about his perspective on book clubs and has allowed me to post it on my Essay page. Take a read on his article and I am sure you will truly enjoy it!

For anyone in the Anoka area who hasn’t had a chance to read The Seduction of Paradise, it will now be available in our downtown bookstore, Otter Lane. If you haven’t had a chance to visit the bookstore, this would be a great time. It is a charming store right on main street and I’m sure you will love it. The Longest Walk will also be available at Otter Lane as soon as it is released.

The release of The Longest Walk has been delayed just a couple of weeks, so unfortunately that means there will not be a book signing before Christmas. However, in keeping with the Anoka spirit, the wonderful owners of Ambi Wine Bar have agreed to host a book signing as soon as the book is available. This will probably be right after the holidays. For anyone who has not experienced Ambi, it is a fantastic wine bar on the corner of 2nd and Jackson. It has great ambiance, which of course is where it gets its name, and a wonderful selection of wines. What better place to have a book signing!

The cover design, which is the last stage of producing a new book, is now complete for The Longest Walk. All that is left is for the publisher to release the book and then I can get copies and schedule the kick-off book signing event. Also, for those local to the Anoka area, an article will be coming out in the next 2 – 3 weeks in the Anoka Union about this book and the new release. Be looking for that! In the meantime, take a look at this cover. Look interesting?

Quick update on The Longest Walk. All the editing is complete (thanks to some very dear friends) and it is back at the publisher. The cover design should be completed this week. That’s always exciting to see what a designer comes up with to represent the story line. I expect it to be released shortly after Thanksgiving and books will be available on this website, the publisher’s website (Booklocker) and of course on any mainstream website like Amazon or Barnes and Noble. I hope to have at least one book signing event locally prior to Christmas. Exciting!!
